Well just a little update on this M$ Train Simulator.
My Voodoo3 2000 decided to pack up this week. It would only start up in Safe Mode with all lines down the screen. I have a spare monitor but that made no difference.
I went to my local computer builder for a new graphics card that could be used with Windows98se. Don't have any they are all made for Win2k/XP/Vista now. So I don't think can get any new Voodoo cards now and nVidia bought out Voodoo. So a bought an old card he took out of a machine for £5, sale or return. nVidia GeForce2 MX400.
I thought I would try the Train Simulator again to see if it works with this card. I installed TS and tried to run it but nothing happened at all. No errors just a black screen, you had to reset the comp to get it to work again.
Anyway I thought I would try Grand Prix Legends to see the difference. With my old Voodoo you could see a lot more detail on the track, braking area for corners. With this nVidia card you don't get that detail, but the game worked ok.
So is anyone else going to make a true 3DFX card does anyone know.
