My first V5 5500 AGP4x PROTOTYPE bought 3 month ago is dead. It has been running during 3 month under ChipSet i865 Board. Right Now it doesn't want boot, I have tried in different PC and same effect. :( (This no can be TRUE)
Is possible to fix it? Who can revive my card? I NEED HELP...

Although Hank Semenec is the specialist for V5 6000, i'm sure he can also repair a voodoo5 5500 card. At least he can just try. The problem is, as you know, he has very little time, and seldom online, it is possible to reach him through Amigamerlin. Just send them both an e mail.

You can also try to contact the "V-Man ", he should also have some contacts, as he wanted to repair his Voodo5 5000 AGP 4x card, when he wanted to sell it through ebay.

indeed, these are bad news :(

it's very (maybe impossible) to repair the card... (only the mems might be replaced......)

was the card overclocked? agp bus? gpu/mem clock?

V-Man is very often online, where you did get your V5 5500 AGP 2x Protetype card ( with the box etc). Can you also post that forum's adress, i can't remember at the moment...
