Title: AGP voltage
Post by Fantasma on 18.05.03 at 17:41:22
where can I find a program that can show me the agp voltage and modify it?

Hm, I you could try Motherboard Monitor, it's a very capable program to monitor about everything possible.

Don't know if it displays AGP Voltage, though...

Edit the Voltage ?
Usually, that is only possible in the Bios of the respective Motherboard (if a such Option is existing).

Otherwise, it might be possible to hack into WPRCedit , but again, I've never tried it for that...

well, this program and the hardware monitor shows the voltages but I canīt modify them what is what I wanted.
I donīt want to use WPRCedit because I am afraid that I could hurt my computer so, any other ideas? :-/

No, as this practically wasn't ever meant to be changed outside the Bios (if at all).

WPCRedit does the very same the Bios would do (if you know exactly what you're doing).

And then, overvolting would be just as risky, as if done in the Bios, the effect is the same ;)

yes, but I canīt change the voltage in the bios and I donīt know how to use wpcredit because all is in hexadecimal value, what can I do?

yes, I know that I donīt have to increase the agp voltage in the card in order to oc it. I want to increase it because I have some problem with the software mod (I have checkerboards) and some people have solved it by increasing the agp voltage. If I increase the FSB of the agp I also increase the voltage?

Well, the way I see it your Radeon just cannot work correctly with all 8 Pipelines enabled (Softmod).

I highly doubt increasing AGP Voltage will do any good.

Checkermarks are (as far as I know) a definitive Sign for some or the Mod-enabled Pipelines being corrupt.

yeah, but a question, if I increase the fsb, Iīll increase the agp voltage?

Try this K7S5A forum they have all kinds of mod bios s and they might know what can be done voltage wise

If you increase the FSB, the AGP Voltage (as well as every other Voltages) should remain untouched, so it won't help.

And off-topic :
Why would you want to mod your Card at all costs ???
In your Sig, you still have a Voodoo3, so I figure the Radeon 9500 should be more than sufficient for everything out there (?)

I have a Radeon 7500 running in my Secondary machine, and it is already fast enough for the most furious UT2003 Matches...  ::)

yeah, but itīs more powerful with the mod and I like to play the most flawlessly I could. ;D

Finally I bought a 9500 non pro because I hadnīt enough money to buy a 9500 pro, itīs why I want to do the mod.
