Title: CD Game for possible trade....
Post by bucksavage on 25.02.08 at 08:27:10
I have a game that I am thinking of trading to someone if they are interested so I am doing this here for now as a feeler to get a thought on the interest or lack of interest in it.  The game on question is a cdrom copy of Flanker 2.5 Combat Flight Simulator; it's not that I didn't like it, or even that I do, I just couldn't get it running well enough on my pc.  It reccomends that you have an AGP vid card and I simply do not; also it notes on the cd front liner that it is for Win98 or ME but I am unaware of problems with it and XP or hgher, some of you jere may know more anout that.  So....in this light I am considering trading it to someone here if any of you are interested.  I decided to post it here so I could gauge the interest in a trade without being hamstrung into actually doing the trade yet.  I am currently quite broke, so shipping would be a major problem, that at the moment is my major concern, so also in this vein I didn't want to have someone get stuck in a deal with me and find out I can't deliver the goods cause I am too broke at the moment.  I wouldn't want to put someone out like that.  I also wish to consider what I might get in return for it to decide if I will go ahead in the near future if possible and actually trade it.  I also realize I haven' said what I would want in return; frankly I'd rather see what I could get than ask for something that is far from possible.
The only requirements I can really think of are: If it is software like games or programs; it shouldn't require AGP vid cards, and if it does, only as the fullout reccomened settings and must be able to run under Windows 98se.  Must also be able to run on a, at rhe most a 533mhz Celern CPU, and 128 megs of ram or less (I have 128megs in total so.....)and unless I end up trading for or buyting a difeerent vid card, a Voodoo3 2000 PCI 16mb vid card.  For hardware, it must be PCI not AGP and definitely not PCI-E and if it is a hard drive of some sort, it must be plain old IDE style not EIDE (what's the difference anyways???); the hd's I use now are AT type, one 2.37gb HD, one 1.5gb HD and one 3.01gb HD, with a further 3.2gb HD unused in a desk drawer at the moment.
Is this confusing enough yet?  heh.

I have the cd in a full size plastic cd case, and that's about it.  The front paper liner and back liner with the notes and all on the back are there but no box or nothing; it came that way from WalMart.  The disc itself is in really good condition; no scratches that I can see.  There are instructions on the Cd I believe but you can likely find some on the net surely in the case that I am wrong, which has been known to happen.

I also havn't decided wether or not to put this on any other forum sites or not; if I do I will let you know and give links to those forums as well to give everyone a chance at taking a gander at this idea of mine. That way should I decide to go ahead with it, everyone gets a fighting chance.

Thanks for listening to me babble; let me know what you guys think.

Yeah I know; my problem right now is shipping, I am really really broke ans can't as yet afford to ship it accross the street let alone to who knows where.  I appreciate the ideas though.  Ehrn my financial situation clears, I may just take your advice.

You have a wider audience on eBay but there is a listing fee and if it doesn't sell...  Ouch :(

YEah, that be a kicker wouldn't it?  heh  Either thaty or someone would buy it for 99 cents....that'd be just as bad.
