Title: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 12.01.05 at 19:49:13
Hi guys,
as those of you who read the thread knows that I have been on the receiving end of a $560 dollar scam, trying to ease the losses with some sales on ebay. if you guys can just pass the word around to enthusiast :) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5155869625&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT I know I won't even get half of what I lost with this. But its better then nothing. thank you. |

I always hate to see collectors letting go of their Quantum3D products. But if cash is tight, the Q3D can usually rectify the cash flow situation. I've had a couple of ebay deals go sour myself, so I feel your pain.
With any luck, you should be able it get over $150.00 USD. The problem is supply and demand. I saw one listed a couple weeks ago but it was pulled (private deal I suspect). A shame because I like to track these things to get a feel for the current value. I hope you get what you want for it. |

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 16.01.05 at 04:55:19
Most of us here don't bid until the last minute ;)
|
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 16.01.05 at 07:35:38
true...
i got about 25 watchers as of now.. but i wonder if they are just watching for fun LOL as for the Raven, still 0 bids until now with 7 watchers |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gdonovan on 16.01.05 at 14:49:40
You never can tell- It only requires two bidders wanting the same item to count ;-)
I had a bunch of auctions end yesterday (still cleaning out stuff left and right) did great on some oddball items and a few things didn't do well at all. Who would have thought a intel brand micro-atx motherboard (that supports 1000 celeron and p-3's) with ram and coopermine celeron 566 cpu would only bid to $24? And yet 6 plain pci and agp cards went for $30! I'm going to keep the mb/cpu/ram for a project, would cost far more to replace the pieces if I wanted to go and build something like a living room DVD player and MP3 server. |

Probably not a good idea to reveal the number watcher on open forum. Sure were all friends here, but on ebay were at each others throats ;) |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 16.01.05 at 18:50:39
well, no one knows who is watching and who isn't so.. just a figure to mention about. :)
at $24.01 with 12 hours to go... ahh I see a familiar name on the highest current bidder LOL ;) |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 17.01.05 at 05:11:29
About 3 hours to go... Is it possible that I could steal it for under $50.00 USD :o
Not likely ;) Come on guys, like give him a fair deal :) |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 05:21:42
Hmm, Well, thanks gamma. I appreciate the support.
I'm looking at it too |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 17.01.05 at 05:44:30
I value the card at close to $150.00 Not to be confused with my bid. These are crazy times when it comes to rare 3dfx/Q3D cards. I'm sure you'll do alright with it. I'm a little surprised that it hasn't picked up yet.
I better go refresh my screen. |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 06:06:46
nope, still at $46, you can blink again ::)

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 17.01.05 at 07:43:18
You know, I used to have an X-24 w/fan option but I traded it to Chosen_One for his 100SB.
It'd sort of be nice to re-claim one for the micro collection. |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 08:06:25
thats cool,
i know you offered me that too, but I wasn't willing to let my SB100 go |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 17.01.05 at 08:16:20
Yeah, I offered it to several members. First the ones with more than 1 card but no takers, so I offered it to members with only 1 100SB and Chosen_One found the deal agreeable. Were spending a little more on shipping than we expected. I hope were both happy when it's all said and done. I have a pair of shades for the card so it should run pretty good ;D

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 08:20:15
nice.. wow,
at least you went to those who had more then 1 cards.. but looks like they didn't need a trade anywayz under 3 minutes $51 |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 08:24:15

Well that was disappointing :'(
I expected my buddy gdonovan to step in. |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 17.01.05 at 09:13:37
Hmm, honestly someone offered me $70 shipped like 10 minutes after the auction ended.
He was just too late, the buyer already paid for it. |

damn... there's a point i don't understand:
i made a thread in the german voodooalert board to make some publicity for your auction. But the thread was closed because some members had fear of showin auctions like yours in this public way. They say it's because of higher prices and more opponents when offering. And now I see what's happend: No one of these people which were against the contribution has bid on the item..... it is degrading and does to me wrong for you. sry my english is really bad sometimes ::) |

I was out sampling ales with my buddy Jon for 6 hours =) Damn, I should have bid more before heading out. |
Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by TM30 on 17.01.05 at 14:32:24

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 17.01.05 at 16:55:16
I'm really sorry Edmund. I'm sort of short on funds after Chrismas and all. I have too many 200 SBi cards (the ones with the 125MHz memory) Just a better card all around. doesn't have the overheating problem that plages the X-24/200SB cards.
I was considering bidding again in those last 3 minutes but I got an IM from Chosen_One my X-24/100SB trading partner joking about not switching him up with your card. He was joking of course ;) But it was a reality check for me. Often I get caught up in the moment of bidding and go crazy. I love the excitement, but it has gotten expensive for me when I find mysef bidding against some of colleages here. |

dunno, he is from Florida,
but thanks guys, I know you all did me a favor already. at least the effort was there. And I thank you again. 3dfx4eva! hehe.. gary.. I thought you had more then enough X-24s with you, so its understandable that you aren't looking forward to another one ;) gamma, you've been great too, keeping up to date with the advertisement.. I know everyone has a budget. at least it didn't end for $46 :) TM30.. err.. were you the one who was willing to pay $70 about 10 minutes after the auction ended ? :) anywayz, it is alright. I guess my timing for the auction to end wasn't about that good either. |

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by gamma742 on 18.01.05 at 05:55:39
Ever consider putting a reserve on it. I hate to see you take a loss one another one. Seems to be a bad time to be a seller. Christmas must have over extended all of us.

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 18.01.05 at 06:36:53
its okay. I don't insist on selling it at a certain price.
I will be fine even though it ends at 9.99 |

Nice price for your Banshee ;-)

Title: Re: X-24 sale, help me promote :) Post by edmundoab on 20.01.05 at 08:31:25
yes I was suprised that it even touched $24 with 3 minutes to go,
I was already packing it for Gary frankly ;) and then, at the brink of 20 secs to go, it went climbing to $40... :o one piece of good news.. but I still can't believe the X-24 went for only $51 :P |
