hi all i'm trying to locate the best driver for my voodoo3
card running winxp,read all the posts not sure which is best and where can i get it thx in advance |

Easy :
For the best allrounder, in my Opinion the AmigaSport V3.0 Driver is the best choice. For the latest in Direct3D Support, the SFFT Alpha 32 Driver is the best choice. |

Nope, that Driver should hold all you need (Driver, 3dfx Tools, OpenGL & MesaFX option)

well,I think you should get rid of the glide2x to glide3x translator dll,and maybe glidexp as well.you can do it easily by unpacking this archive to your windows/system32 folder,right after you install the driver (as described here).apart from that,I must agree with Falconfly,amigasport is probably the best all around xp driver (SFFT is very good,but it still has some problems,with final fantasy 7 for example)..

thx for your help,i installed the driver ok but got a message when installing that said something about it may cause problems with your system now or in the future,has anyone seen that before?

Yes, it's some stupid Microsoft thing.
Nowadays drivers have to be WHQL certified. Off course, these being third-party drivers, there simply is no funding to get them WHQL certified. So, you get a message. Just click continue and the drivers will work just fine. |

thx all for the help,i'm new to this pc stuff,can you tell me exactly how to get rid of these glide2 and glide3 files,plus how can i tell if this driver is installed correctly is there a way to test it??

just extract the archive to your windows/system32 folder as described here..

sorry for being stupid but what do i do after extracting that?,plus is that the voodoo3 driver cause i already installed one,should i remove it first,very new at this
