This driver is like all the others, it´s a bit more stable than beta7 and fixes some bugs but, where are the new directx files and opengl files? >:(

yes, it is suppossed that they are working on it and they always promise us they will do a fantastic driver and then it is always the same with some little bugs fixed, and why not they make a voodoo3 driver like voodoo4/5 driver, that is to say, with a new directx driver??????

Well, that's the reason those Drivers don't get HighLighted (recommended Downloads).

Each Beta seems a crawling step towards the next, and they've been not quite hassle-free in the past as well...

Some minor Bugfixes in Direct3D, Kool's 2608 Glide Files, tweaked .inf and Installer Package maybe. No OpenGL Updates it looks like.

But anyway, they are progressing, they're just slow.

I remember very well the critiques they've been getting, for not releasing their SourceCode. Now, it looks like all the coding burden is on 2 or max. 3 people, while an entire community of Coders could have taken their shot at it ::)

Many fear, that even most 3dfx Die-Hard Users will have switched to other Cards, before there is a bugfree 'Final' 1.09.00 with both new Direct3D and OpenGL code.

Even my main Rig is already running a Radeon (ex Voodoo5), and by now, even my secondary Machines (Voodoo3 & Voodoo4) will soon receive Radeons to keep them useable for small LAN parties  ::)

Yep, and I do hope Thomas can make some progress on 3D Analyzer, and can help the Driver Team better now with the help of the Voodoo3 3000 AGP and Voodoo5 5500 AGP I sent him...

Although I have a new Voodoo5 5500 AGP, packing & sending my beloved Cards away was a sad day :-/

I only hope it was worth it...

and a new thing, it seems that kool´s glide3x works bad, opengl doesn´t work with that drivers ;D

Hm, the latest GlideXP, that is being developed parallel has received outstanding feedback... Might be worth mixing those in ;)

yes, but 3dhq wants to keep the sourcecode to make the drivers and that is damaging us, the voodoo users. :'(
And you can solve the problems with glide 3x by replacing it with an older one or with the glide 3x of glidexp project. ;)

Hm, I'm getting old. I thought the GlideXP Site was linked up already, but it wasn't  :P

I think I'll have to redo the Links Section (it's way too big).

Finally I go back to beta4, because beta7 has many errors and the direct 3d drivers are the same. Also opengl works great.
