is it possible to work with this combination?

i finally was able to get the driver installed on my winXP

when i am in NHL 2003, i hit the play button,.after a few flashes of my desktop, NHL 2003 closes on me.and gives no error, which is confusing..and surprising?

any way around this to get it working? i read a past post of the same situation and somebody replied with editing the 3dsetup.ini file to get it to read 16bit instead of 32bit..i am unable to do that since i am not sure what part i need to edit..can someone help me out?

wow..did a few tweaks.and now. i hit play and i get an ingame error

NHL (DEVCAPS)--titlebar

Graphics hardware initialization problem


after this pops up, i hit ok, than it goes to the game breaker/play breaker screen for a few moments than back to the NHL 2003 home screen..and just repeats its self once i hit play again..

the only difference is that the name under the titlebar changes to,

NHL 2003 (EAGL)

i try to change the game settings in terms of the game resolution, but there is no game resolutions available.
any help?

basically, i changed a few .dll files in the system32 folder..i updated a few older files..

in GTA III i am actually able to get in..but very slow..
so i just uninstalled it..

Just out of curitosty Rocco, did you run the 3dsetup.exe, prior to running the game?
