Well, V_Man sold his collection to ai5u from USA, and ai5u sold the collection on ebay.

EDITED:
And Falconfly and Patience bought the collection jointly.

Correct, the ai5u-collection was purchased a year ago by Falc and Patience. There is a topic in the "news"section where you can see that Patience got the final revision and FalconFly got the 2x2.

yes which means the rumor of about 50 cards were made is a lie then..

Lie is a strong term, people are easily misinformed if there is no "factual" source to fall back on. At that point stories & fables start to pass from person to person and anything is possible.

There were several hundred 6000's made, I'm not sure of the breakdown or where they are all at now.

I suspect a number of them were sent to a landfill or were simply destroyed when the 3dfx building was cleaned out.

Unique to us, nothing but a lump of dead PCB to a cleaning party.

Well im not so sure about that "fact" too. I have heard several different numbers from 50 to 350 but no one can be sure.

The was some sort of auction after 3dfx died I heard, where some of them where sold. But when I started searching for a very specific card it was a lot harder then expected.

So 50 is a bit to low for sure but  I dont expect there to be a lot more then 200.

hehe it was only a matter of time before this would show up  Wink Indeed nice numbers but I can tell you that this one does not  reflect reality for sure. Maybe 50 where made but there sure as hell are no 50 left on this planet  Tongue

- As for the 2x2, one was send to fotographer and now its in the hands of FalconFly. The second dissapeared after Comdex.

wow 50 Intel cards is quite something, the Rev AO 0700 cards are funny also, were they so different compared to the Rev.A1 1500, 1700 and 1900 cards?

Oh another thing, this Topic gave me the idea to do as an honor to the Voodoo5 6000 Resource Group People Wink May the Force be With All Of You.

I'm positive since it came right from the horses mouth so to speak. Just the intel revision alone there was 100+ boards made, revision 3 and last revision several hundred were made each.

There was well over a thousand cards made over the whole run, 1400 would not be an optimistic number.
