no i was in icq chat with exxe last week... he told me that he found banshees with "heatspreader" (at least we think the black circle in the middle of the GPU is a heatspreader...) and he asked me if there are any banshees out there with post 3dfx logos... but i didnt check my banshees at this time...

... but yesterday i had to reorganize my "shrine" (put some new cards in, others out) and i looked at some PCB dates and discovered this very late banshee PCB Date of 9951, and wooops i popped the heatsink of...

-> so i did not recognize it when i bought the card (i bought it long time ago)

Reply #6 - 15.02.06 at 21:22:55 wow that makes a gap of nearly one year between the date of the GPU and the PCB... so probably there aren't lots of Banshee GPUs out there with post STB Logos? I assume its the same situation like on Voodoo 2 with post STB Logos... 1 out of 100 with new logo (or even fewer?)

Bruce and Chuck with Post STB Logos only found on Powercolor cards... yet... but from this time every collector out there who reads this thread will pop off the heatsink of his banshee cards to look what GPU it has

Matt Guest	Re: Voodoo Banshee with Post 3dfx Logo discovered! Reply #12 - 26.02.06 at 03:16:52 Skywell released the Magic TwinPower banshee cards which featured the new 3dfx logo. They had cheap cruddy coolers so when i replaced the cooler, the new logo was there for all to see.
