Awesome  Shocked GF100A2  Cool The PCB tells me it should be a GTX 480 (maybe 512 shader?! what about the memory bus 320 or 384bit?!). The cooler looks like from a GTX 470, but I think there is more under the hood.

Yep! GTX480, 512 shader, and 384 bus. I'll post some more goodies later- benchies and gpuz, etc...

I have created a very obnoxious website solely for providing info about my eng. samples and also to help keep myself organized. I do plan posting more cards this week. It is not 56k safe, probably not even DSL friendly, be warned.

Well, your page won't win a beauty prize, but I like it that way Smiley It's simple and focused on what everyone wants to see, the cards and information about them  Cool Nice work!

Hehe, the GTX480 A2 shows GT200 Cheesy I thought the codename was GT300 in the beginning?!

Thank you! I wanted to keep it very simple, so nothing distracts from the cards.

I plan making it more efficient an organized for the cards. For each card, I will review them like a website such as tomshardware or techpowerup, with multiple sections such as introduction, hardware features, specs, benchmarks, conclusion, etc...

About gt200- I think you are right, they were codenamed gt300, I think I may have the wrong picture Roll Eyes I'll have to doublecheck

@gwb very nice assortment of prototype cards you have on your site.

I'm also partial to engineering samples and have found some interesting ones myself just need to find the time for some proper pictures and details. Until then here's something interesting I've found:

You can probably guess what it is.

What can I say, an amazing card that never came to the market in that way Smiley EVGA did it a little different with it's 2Win series.

Got a new toy, a S3 Graphics Evaluation Board Smiley It features an Alphachrome chipset which is the mobile version of a Savage XP (Codename Zoetrope).

... ... -> Front and back of the card
... -> PCB manufacturing date 2002 week 37. The board does have 128MB DDR memory.
... ... -> Lots of jumpers and pins for measuring.
... ... -> Alphachrome 2002 week 30. The chip has noted 183, OK and 6. I think it means 183th chip of a batch, tested OK. It's the 6th evaluation board of that type.
... -> On the back it features two connections for notebook displays.

The board has two GF104 GPUs. Since this model of card wasn't released the marketing names isn't clear. I would post some GPU-Z screenshots but the driver required for this board is a special alpha version that I haven't been able to get hold of. It also has a hacked VBIOS according to the e-tag.

@Loeschzwerg very nice S3 prototype card you have there. Congrats.
