Ages looking for one, and when I'm not looking for one I found one.  Smiley

I wonder how many people have been looking for this card as well. The Oxygen VX1 is easy to find, even boxed, but the Create! is like it was never sold much at all.

Not much : The Oxygen VX1 uses the GLINT R3 chip, which is basically the workstation version of Permedia 3. The two chips are almost identical. They have exactly the same functionality and performance in games (multi-texturing, bump mapping, etc). The 2D is also the same. The only differences are in Softimage, and with multi-cpu machines.

I have here a card that was never released in this form.
QuadroFX3000 P170 NV35GL with corresponding FlowFX cooler and original e-tag:

The card was functional but a few components were broken or missing so I had to fix that. Here's the result:

Enjoy,

LE: I've changed image hosting website on account of tasteless banner content.

Probably not your fault, but maybe provide a warning that that picture site is showing porn images on the banner. Not very nice on the family PC.  Lips Sealed

Nice card though, I love those nVidia tags.

The Geforce FX5950U used the GPU code named NV38. The FX5900U used the NV35.
The FlowFX cooler was first introduced with Geforce FX5800U but because of all the bad press it did make it to market for the FX5900U as above pictures show. They switched to a more conventional cooling solution less noisy.

@Tim you're absolutely right. The banners a grotesque and I haven't noticed them until you mentioned because I've grown to ignore banners on various sites except the ones that pop-up in front and center like on abload.de
Imageshack.us also bothers me as wants registration now to share the links.

@all what image upload site you guys use and recommend that's free and banner-less or at least with decent content.

Funny to see that cooler on that board. Love the cooler, it's one of those all time greats for all the wrong reasons.

Imageshack is slow but works okay enough.

Nice board!!

I think so too. I find that each pre-production boards tells a story and what role it played in the evolution of a generation of cards.

As a parallel of the cooling solution here's a NV30 prototype board.

This was the common ancestor to the Geforce FX5800U and Quadro FX2000.

@Tim I'm sorry about the awkward moment with your family that my poor choice in upload site has cause you.
Imageshack bugs me so I found postimage.org that seems to be free of banners of all sorts.
