Title: Could be the "BAD eBay buyers thread"?...
Post by goriath on 06.07.10 at 16:46:31
...well, I do not know if it could be...but here we go.

Three months ago I sold a V3 2000 boxed and sealed. When auction has ended, I sent a message to the buyer to confirm the amount of needed shipping to UK (He seemed to be in UK by reading his profile...). He replied to me that I had to send the card not in the UK but in Poland instead...so He upgraded his profile with the polish address...OK ::), so He paid, I left the feedback as usually I do and the later day I shipped the card to Poland...via economic, so without a tracking number (what He paid for).

Some time later (probably one month later or more) he contacted me saying He still not have received the goods :-?. Worried about that, the first thing came in mind was an uncorrect shipping address :-X, so I checked his profile again and I discovered indeed, that He changed his address again after I shipped the card >:(. The address was still a polish address, but he added some other precious infos this time...

I said to him that probably the card would be come back to me in Italy, but in the meanwhile I suggested to him to keep checking his mail. Indeed days later, the card came back to me and the buyer wanted I shipped it again trough a trackable shipping. In the meanwhile, afraid I break away with both money and card ::), He opened a claim on Paypal, resulting locking my account...

I said to him that if my Paypal account is locked, I cannot receive money for the second, trackable shipping. He replied me again saying first the card, after the money... I am an honest person and I like to handle situations in order to make happy all, so, do not ask me why, but I agreed and then I shipped the card once again without getting paid for it...

Later, checking for the shipping, I saw that he got the card few days after, so I asked to him if He could be so kind to unlock my paypal account and then pay for shipping and leave a feedback...

Moral of the story; thanks to God, He closed the claim unlocking my account but, obviously, no money and no feedback ::)

If you want (and if it is allowed) I can post the ebay nickname of  this POS 8-)

Mine to share was something of less severe, but still idiotic
I had a neutral feedback from a guy who complained that I ship too slowly

The fact that the auction on ebay ended on friday night, and there was no time for me to ship it the same day. I went to the post office on Sat to ship it over to another State in the USA

and i was shocked that by monday he received the item and complained that it took the parcel more than 48 hours to reach his home...  ;D

He waited a month  :)
Maybe he just opened a claim because he wouldn't have been able to do so after 45 days. Correct me if I am wrong but isnt it the sellers responsibility to ship the item tracked if they want Paypal protection.
Did you get the money for the extra shipping?

I always offer every shipping method, from the less expensive to the more expensive. He chose with his mind, not with mine. But the fact is that in his profile he wrote that he was in UK...then he stated he was in Poland. So he provided me an incomplete address to wich I shipped...after that He edited his address again...without notice! It is not a surprise, If the goods return to me with "addressee not found/incomplete or incorrect address" wrote on it...

In the end, I sent the card again with tracked and insured shipping, with my paypal account locked and with my money...This was my honesty.

He got the card, not paid for the second shipping and no feedback was left....This was his honesty.

Well that sucked then, I suppose the fact that he had changed address didn't sway Paypal into unlocking your account.
