As I saw, Gary isn't a moderator at this board anymore?
It says "gdonovan - guest" when looking at older posts ...
What happened? If I'm not too nosy asking about that subject...  ???

Since he can still post here, I'd rather leave it up to him to reply.

All I can say is that noone forced him to leave, he chose to delete his own account himself.
I'd rather have him still around as well, but it's his decision.

If he leaves, it's like having a broken AAlchemy...
I believe his nerves exploded, with all the tension that's been and still is hanging around here!

Sad

there is some truth in that Luxkiller, but he has made a choice onwhich we can't change Wink

He must do what is best for his own feelings ofcourse that is something we can't decide.

well i cant help but put my 2 cents in, i feel ive been here a long time, i'll always be thankful to falconfly for having this 3dfx place for us to meet and share.....as for gary, really no one else like him in 3dfx forums, i dont think there ever has been or ever will be another, how many ppl buy some neat rare card and thats the last we hear of it but maybe a picture or two, jesus, gary made it feel like 3dfx was still alive for me, everytime he got something ( alot of the time it was stuff we didnt even know was ever made)  you new there was gonna be an informative write up on it, info that just seemed to come out of nowhere, i love this forum and i love hearing and seeing new 3dfx stuff that gary comes up with, ty falconfly and ty gary, both of you have devoted alot of your time and money, more than i can even imagine to something you really like and it pays off for the rest of us, really ty both

all collectors collection was meant to keep 3dfx alive, every collectors collection is special no matter what size it may be or what's in it. don't need proto's to have something special it's allready special the way it is and alot of other collectors might think in the same way.

Gary has a very big collection and it's nice, but Money is one of the things we all know as the main thing to have, not all of us have as much money as those two.

My words are more doesn't mean more special, that might make others feel less, onwhich isn't the idea. we are one 3dfx community it actuall nice to see more collectors together than aside from each other.

sometimes i think things get lost in the english translation, i could care less about the size of anyones collection, its the sharing and info that gary brought about new or old cards that i liked, it doesnt take money to share about even the most run of the mill card, it takes the time and effort to hunt down and put together the info, thats more about time and effort than anything else, is that more understandable?
and one more thing, did gary ever mention how much money he has on this forum,? did i miss it? i thought i read he sold alot of stuff from something else he really likes to get cards, i hate it when ppl assume things about other ppl, some ppl in here spend money on lots of things other than 3dfx cards http://www.falconfly-central.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=offtopic;action=displ... some put most there money into them, really dont matter if you have 3 or 150, were all in the same hobby arent we?

That is exactly what I thought. (Example : Velocity 200, anyone? )

Best not to assume too much until you actually know all the facts (and that means EVERYONE's side of the story).  Wink

Let's move on ... as the 3dfx community always will.  Smiley
