Flightgear OpenGL Trouble
27.03.05 at 14:27:46

Hi there,
i tried flightgear and have much problems with it. It only runs (very slow) in windowmode with default icd. WickedGL and Koolsmokeys OPENGL32 crash away and MesaFX crashes on launcher (if you copy it in programfolder after selecting plane in launcher it works in fullscreen but only using 640x480 out of 800x600 altough i selected 640x480 fullscreen. Any ideas?

Regards,
Andreas

P.S
OpenGL on Voodoo's seems to be a mess. Even 'Computerbild' Freeware games like GLTron and other freeware like Vegastrike, Privateer remake and stuff make trouble. From what i can see all OpenGL implementations from 3Dfx MiniGL to MesaFX for voodoo are wrappers to glide. I know how 'Good' Glide to D3D wrappers work so i really think that this kind of implementation is part of the problem.

What kind of voodoo do you use ?
I know that for voodoo2 accelerator  the games run on it only at 640X800 (most of them) .If I increase the resolution then in some games I 'am pushed-out or worse my system is halted regardless if  I use Opengl or
Glide mode
