Hmmm...

VSA-100 Drivers usually (but not always) work to some extend on Voodoo3's...

Please note that the V1.00.01 Driver is very old, if you try this, I'd rather recommend using a more recent Voodoo4/5 Driver like the V1.04.00...

If the Game is Direct3D (I think it is), and requires 32bit (would be strange but possible), it will probably not work, since the Voodoo3 will report to the Game that it's not capable of 32bit in 3D....

One possible way to 'fool' the Game :
Try to locate the File where the Game keeps its 3D Settings...

This is usually an .ini File somewhere in the Game Directory where it is installed, but these Settings sometimes end up in the Windows Registry as well.

There is a remote chance, that editing these by hand, and feeding in a 16bit Mode might make the Game launch....

Another possibility :
Since you only have 64MB of RAM, you might really be on a critical level of available Memory...
Make sure your Swapfile is big enough (e.g. 256MB), and that your System is configured as clean as possible...

What does this mean ?
Close ALL unnecessary Programs that you do not really require for Gaming, such as MS Office Fastfind, AntiVirus Programs, Chat Clients etc. etc....
This will free up as much Memory as possible, and might help if this is causing the error...

64MB is really hard on the edge, it surprises me a new Game will even launch with such low memory Roll Eyes

In case you suspect that the Game uses some 3D functions that the Voodoo3 does not have, you could try running it with 3D Analyzer V1.52, which already helped with a multitude of Games in such cases....
-----------------
Since we can only download a Demo of the Game, it is very important that you find out why exactly it does not run, if possible...
Once we know what limitation is causing the error, we can provide all known workarounds we know of to fix it Smiley

Well, luckily Drivers are seldom larger than 8MB Roll Eyes

So what you downloaded is perfectly fine...

Since I see that it doesn't run, it would seem that the Voodoo3 might indeed not be able to run NHL2003.

(Your writing makes it sound like you haven't installed the Driver yet (?) Just unpack the File, and hit the setup executable to install it... )

Don't forget, you're trying to run one of the latest Games on a ~3 years old Graphics Card, that cannot display 3D in 32bit...

Every Card does hit its limit one day, for some people earlier, for some later...

Sorry, but there's not much more advice I could give from here except to upgrade a) Card and b) Memory...
(64MB really isn't a proper amount of RAM to run today's Games Roll Eyes )

If you want to stick with 3dfx, you might be able to buy a used Voodoo4 pretty cheap...

Hm, I don't know where you live, but German Ebay usually has Voodoo4's comparable to around 20-25 US$.

Price will vary greatly on where you look, however...

I think there are probably way more Voodoo4's on US-Ebay than here, which will reduce the price I guess.

Voodoo5's in Germany are pretty expensive, hitting upto 100 US$ sometimes. Normal prices vary around 50-70 US$.
Overall, it has become more of a collectors item, and there are only a few left, which created the high price.

In the US, it should be possible to get one for almost half that price I guess, but I'm not sure...

An NVidia Driver set that works on a Voodoo ???

I haven't heard from that in my entire life before (?)
IF this thing really exists and works, be sure to send it to me Wink

Anyway, swapping another Card into your System sure will work, IF it meets the requirements...

So be sure that it does before getting disappointed.

Note that there's no such thing such as a NVidia "Alladin" Chip.

NVidia Chips produced :
Riva128
Riva TNT
Riva TNT2 (Ultra)
GeForce256 (GeForce1)
GeForce2
GeForce3
GeForce4

Some 3rd party manufacturers gave their cards funny names sometimes, so maybe there is an "Alladin" Card, but I've just never heard of it before...

I'm coming to this site a few years after the issue here, but my nephew runs NHL 2003 just fine on his Voodoo3 3000 on a Asus P3B-F MB with 128MB of memory and a AWE64 sound card. If memory serves correct (I built the system many years ago) the drivers were 1.07 and I think it was DirectX 8.0 at the time. He still plays today, but we have since upgraded both the memory and video card for NHL 2004.
