If you want to find out how much it is in USD, do the following... :P

1. Go to the eBay listing.
2. Click on "Track in my eBay".
3. Go to www.eBay.com (USA eBay).
4. Go to "my eBay".
5. You will see the item converted to USD!

Nuff said! ;D

PEACE! 8)

Jesus... 8 VSA's.. 512MB  :o

I bet if the new ogl driver would work on it, that card would rock on UT2k3  :o

tried opengl on UT 2K3 with a voodoo5 5500 --> message: "no s3tc support found"
i suppose it would be the same with this card, because it has similar chips..

It will not work! Bwahahahahahaha! Some little bird told me that whoever buys that monster, is on his own! ;D
Hint: it's not about the texture compression! VSA does support S3TC ;)

HOWEVER! That card is worth the sum! Why?  :o The auxiliary (attached) board is an expensive hardware (does anyone know what is it?  :o I do! 8))

But Q3d doesn't only deal with the US military. I think they also deal with other companies like Boeing and Lockhead Martin, etc...

sure, but ut 2k3 doesn't support the vsa100, so no s3tc support can be found, neither on the voodoo5, nor - i bet - on the aalchemy..and without s3tc found in hardware, ut 2k3 doesn't want to load. that's it!  ;)

I think the Aalchemy support Direct3D  ???

so what about just launching ut2003 in D3D mode  ;)

Believe it or not, the Voodoo 5 5500 AGP runs UT2k3 in 32-bit faster than it does in 16-bit. It has to do with the texture compression, don't quote me on that; some sort of compression.

@ Blazkowicz:
Direct3D 8.1 supports a lot of shaders which are not implemented in the voodoo5, 'cause it's just a directX 7 board. as you might have recognized, there are some screen faults and even crashes because of that. so i just tried to get it work under opengl to see how it behaves under this api. cut!  ;)

@ Lecram25:
voodoo5 supports fxt1 (3dfx' own compression), which doesn't need a special 3d api. furthermore it supports dxtc, the s3tc varation for Direct3D...so the board has also implemented s3tc (opengl api recommended). but while s3 wants payment for licenses necessary for the usage of s3tc (and 3dfx didn't want to pay for, therefore they invented glorious fxt1), it is just implemented but can't be used for opengl games. beside that's why ut 2k3 won't run in opengl on a voodoo5..
so ut 2k3 runs with dxtc when in direct3d mode.. :P

last fact: i played that game in direct3d on a voodoo5 in 32bit...no matter, i saw some textures were still in 16bit, as likely as some weaponfire effects... ???

To Misha:

And what about GL_S3_s3tc extension in 3dfx OGL ICD??? I`m sure that 3dfx have S3TC in OpenGL, remember Quake3!
Ut2k3 doesn`t run because of  bad GL_EXT_bgra extension. :-/

Well that's my point...it runs better on a Voodoo 5 in 32-bit DUE to the compression (the DXT1 I believe).
And everyone knows about fxt1. But that has nothing to do with UT2k3; I have no clue why you brought that up, I didn't mention it... ;)
