Reply #1 - 18.01.05 at 10:59:12 Hmmm very special card I've never seen a card with Obsidian SB50 Layout and green PCB, the serial number is very deep and the "assembled in" sticker is normally on the upper right corner of the card and not on the backside ???

Not really- Just a pre-Quantum3d board Obsidian card.

(well since Q3D was not formed till March 1997 there are large numbers of these boards about)

Chip date is on the early side, might be an early batch.

The green tint is caused by using a flatbed scanner to capture the card image, I stopped using my scanner for this reason.

I consider it a pre-3Dfx board Obsidian card.
1) DATE on the backside is 15/96.
2) Chipset number 500-0001-02,500-0002-01 is very little.
3) PCB#650-0002-04,Only small for 650-0001-05 ,It's "Jamma interface box",

My tother Obsidian is black,also SCAN for scanner

3.Baffle is black.

4.Face is laser light label

Ergo all Obsidian boards pre-dating March of 1997 are 3dfx boards, not Quantum3D.
