How do I make linkable text in my signature?

I've seen NitroX Infinity's sig. and it has a link to his current 3dfx collection on this site and he's also got more links to other things....

So I Viewed Page Source and did the same hypertext that he did, but then I got a message that, that only Admins are allowed to do that.

But I see other members who are not admins have links in their signature.... what am I doing wrong?   Cry
