http://www.norris-designs.co.uk/norris_caravan1.wmv yeps it's a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII with 771 bhp and it's gonna do a high speed run with a Caravan! My gosh! here's part 2: http://www.norris-designs.co.uk/norris_caravan2.wmv absolutey stunning to see, pitty about the brown stuff in the engine LOL hahaha |

High long term loads and turbo cars don't mix- Chances are they burned up a piston.

it was funny to see though haha :) ithe car has enough power, it's the weigth which was it's problem I guess :)
See the teapot move hahaha I thought it was kinda funny to watch :) My dad has a Mondeo TDCI with only 130 bhp with a Ford 2.0 TDCI engine it can have a max pull load of 1800 still isn't bad though it is a turbo car ;) |

Know anything about 4 cylinder turbo cars? I guess not ;-) It's very easy to make power for short periods of time, however the longer you stay in boost you start to exceed the thermal and physical limits of certain parts. Like pistons and headgaskets. Car makers usually forbid towing with turbo cars because they know under load the car will be under boost almost all time. That being said I did tow with my turbo van for long periods of time but it required a LARGE radiator and an oil cooler and boost was regulated to a modest 6 psi (less the 1/2 a bar for you metric fans) compared to the factory stock 10 psi. And even then it still cost me three headgaskets in 73,000 miles, a warped exhaust manifold and a cracked cylinder head. |

Still funny to watch this experiment ;D
Never seen a caravan being pulled beyond its structural design limit like that *lol* |
