Title: Turok problem- Full and demo version Post by gdonovan on 10.05.04 at 18:02:54
Anyone ever have a problem with Turok not displaying correct with a 3dfx card? I have run it on everything from a V1 to a V-5500 with no problem BUT with what I'm working with last night it would not display correct even though Unreal/Quake/Quake II/Incoming all work fine.
Thoughts? I even formated the hard drive and started from scratch. |

Almost like Glide isn't working- The game launches and the picture gets "foggy" You can just make out the menus and when the demos are playing. It's almost like the contrast is cranked all the way up or down! It's just this one game, so far all the rest work perfect. I suspect it's the Voodoo chip but I'm at a loss why all the other games work fine. I'll give you a clue as to what Voodoo board it is- The only V3-2000 made with S-video and RCA output! I'll post a pic later today. Gary |

mh..maybe something wrong w/ the gama corretion..? I'm sure you have already done so, but have you tried turning the gamma down for this game? well, i suppose it could be some stupid kind of wrong interaction with the s-video out..

Not gamma correction related, already tried that and it works perfect with all other Glide applications and Turok works fine with other voodoo cards I have tested, even those with the same drivers. |

The problem is the 8MB boards, not the 16MB boards.

I think the problem is with Turok itself since other games tend to play fine on the 8mb board.
After all the game was made long before the Voodoo 3's came out. |
