Thanks for the compliments gents. Smiley

Yeah, it is quite rare as there are only 3 of them known in the hands of collectors. (to my knowledge)  The great condition is a direct result of the box living its life in the plastic wrap. (where it shall continue to live)  Someday in the near future I will get a group shot of every US Voodoo series box made and post it here, should look great! (and complete)

I recognize last picture. It was a historic picture; many times I saw it around the net in the last 9 years. So now you own just that one; must I suppose the person that shows the card in the picture is the UK 3dfx's engineer?

It says he's :

"It was *this* big!" Our resident hardware guru Peter Male shows off the Voodoo 5 6000 - note that this is a pre-production board, hence the dodgy red wires on the back!

So not the engineer in that picture, just the guy who previewed it. Smiley

Oh, yes... sorry. I miss the review link; too focused on the pictures Tongue

Congratulation Oscar, altough every v56k is a piece of art, that one is not like other... It has the dust of history inside.

Oh what the heck, I might as well post mine as well lol.  Grin

I'm recapping my motherboard this weekend, should have it up and running soon. Card isn't functioning at the moment, but cause is suspected. Repairs shouldn't be a problem if it is that (I hope! lol).

The board came from a 3dfx lead engineer. Oscar knew him and facilitated the deal! Many thanks goes out to him!

ps. Pictures don't show the engineering tag but is present.

More on this later. Main priority is getting it up and running.

This is how the board arrived, with severe burn marks around CR3/CR4.

... ...

A lot of cleaning up, including a good clean of the entire PCB, front and back and here she is, looking a lot better. Amazingly clean PCB as well, not a scratch.
