Since I got quite a Collection, I was wondering what are your favorites?
(for those unfamiliar, I'm talking about 3D Demos from the Demoscene) |

Descent1 Demo is the best :)
when that came out I waited for the original to be released and it was the first game I bought Descent from Parralax * Interplay, man spent many hours with that one and still play'n it now :) it was the first game with 360 degrees free movement amazing for it's time. |

Hm, I'm still rather looking for 3D Demos from the Demoscene, not Game demos ;)

Technically the Into The Shadows is a non-playing demo, for it's time it was amazing.

Btw- Will not run in Windows, DOS is required.
Not sure if a command prompt will work, last time I tried it I had to boot into DOS mode from Win9x. Think Quake... 2 years before Quake came out with more engine features and more modest requirements. |

What I liked best is the "Nature" demo by vertigo.
My eyes almost popped out when I watched one of the first accelerated demos back in 1997 on a Voodoo Graphics. Its a pity that I was not able to get that demo running in 3d mode on a voodoo card later than Voodoo2. On V1 and V2 it runs fine. |

ah okay well got hooked to Gamma742's idea ;D
XL-R8R from Mad-Onion / FutureMark was one of the best things I've seen on my Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP when I had the P3/E 650 :) http://www.futuremark.com/download/xl-r8r/ |

This is an OpenGL demo from NVidia, but it runs very well on Voodoo hardware, especially with MesaFX and Wicked3D...try it. ;)
