Title: New S3 DX 9 Vid Card?
Post by jandarsun8 on 21.03.04 at 00:27:55
Check out this link. Might have already been posted here, I don't know but what are your thoughts? Anyone else heard of these boards before? I heard of it a while ago about the same time that rumors were going around saying the Creative Labs was coming back into the market with a V10 Ninja or something goofy like that but S3's got the site up and looks like it might be worth checking out, I don't know. It'd be good to have more choices then ATI or Nvidia. Anyone else know heard anything about this?

Hm, there are already a couple of Benchmarks floating around the net.

Basically doesn't look bad at all :)

Despite the DeltaChrome not being high-end performers it seems, testers noted that the Cards stayed extremely cool, and apparently used only very little power.

Certainly something worth looking forward to, after XGI's Volari missing their first shot at the Market (or at Quality Drivers, but that remains to be seen this year).

Let's hope S3 get's this job done in a better way than SiS *cough* I meant XGI ;)

yeah, that's why I was wondering if anyone heard anything about these things. Haven't seen any S3 cards on any selves any place in a VERY long time (used to be Diamond cards) and haven't seen these things in any machines other then mobo's with built in Vid to them (and some laptops). Looking at some of the specs on the one card says it will support 256 megs though, so who knows.
