I'll just add:

-unified architecture
-dxtn codec is included,no more stubs
-native inf support for voodoo5 MAC (and probably some other rarer models)
-first steps towards 64bit OS compatibility

hmm what is the point of using a 3dfx card in a 64Bit OS, kinda useless I guess since the programs that were made for 3dfx cards only ran under 32Bit OSés ::)

But funny that it has been made possible, but then again totally pointless imho.
