Hey guys,

just seeing what the setup would be worth in general, not looking to sell just yet, but for future reference.

Case: Coolermaster Storm Scout
PSU: Enermax EG651P-V(E) 650W
Mobo Asus A7M266-D
CPU dual Athlon XP-M3000+ @ 2.4Ghz
RAM 2 x 1GB DDR400 @ 266 2-2-2-5
GPU 3DFX Voodoo5 5500MAC flashed to PC
SOUND Diamond Monstersound MX300 (Aureal Vortex 2)
HDD Maxtor 120GB 7200rpm
OPTICAL Asus DVD-writer 16x

Case+PSU ~ 100 euro
Mobo+CPU+RAM ~ 100 euro
V5 + MX300 ~ 100 euro
HDD+DVD ~ you can consider them bonus in the system

Total 300 euro. The problem is that it will be very hard to sell it as a system, the performance for today use is too low and who wants to buy it as a 3dfx rig will probably have some components or will want a specific case, mobo, etc.

Plus it will cost a lot to ship it, unless you find a buyer in your town (or at least your country).

you do have a point there :) hard to sell as complete system, maybe if I advertise as "almost fastest possible system for Voodoo5 5500 AGP"?

and what would the 5500MAC be worth, including the box in near mint condition?

Right now there's a boxed V5 mac on ebay at 250 USD:

If someone will buy it then you could probably sell it for the same price. It's hard to say, maybe you can sell it even with 300 euro if there's someone who wants it badly and there are no other cards listed on ebay at that time.

But if there's nobody really interested in the card or if there are cheaper cards listed it will be very hard to sell it...

You can try to list it at 250-300 euro with the option "Make an offer" and see what happens.

Or you can list it here in an auction :)

But why are you selling your 3dfx gaming PC? You've put so much effort assembling it...

As I said, I'm not selling, just trying to get a general idea of it's worth.

Thanks for the info on the 5500MAC., maybe I'll sell it one day, but they are so hard to find for a normal price.

no one's buying a V5500MAC for 250$...it's not because Ebay have some at this price that it's worth that much, really...
