Ok so heres a case mod im working on(im no pro case modder so that said lets rip), i call it the "what if " mod, what if ALIENWARE made a limited edition watercooled aluminum case with a o/ced 3dfx v5-----> double click to see a larger picture of any of these.

http://img126.echo.cx/img126/5166/bfg0023dw.th.jpg

So i set out to get the cases first to make one case, left to right, ALIENWARE,dragon aluminum and koolance.

http://img126.echo.cx/img126/5260/bfg0032oq.th.jpg

hardest case to find for me was the koolance because i had made up my mind to go green or blue, both colors all 3 cases came in, here is the case window, i sent out for the window before anycase had arrived, custum etch work out pretty nice, wanted it to look factory and not to gaudy, the holes didnt line up right so i had to drill em all again, i had them cut me 2 fan holes also, these are the fans im using-->  http://www.frozencpu.com/images/products/flash/9ledfan.avi  then i went to hardware sore and got some nice hex bolts for window(orifianl was black push pins) and fan, then some aftermarket chrome alien grills. I think this photo shows why i wanted to use the aluminum case, shinny and also light. the lazer etch shows up real nice when back lit too.

so then my psu came in, top of the line but butt ugly, so i had a spare cheapo psu in beatiful chrome case, the mod begins.

after gutting the chrome unit i start on the swap( then i get a bright idea to fill a couple unused  holes in back with a back lit temp gauge, the dremal comes out lol

{please falconfly let me know if im posting to much, dont wanna suck up too much space, ive taken 45 or so photo's but ill post those on a web site if i ever get one lol}

here is my final v5 5500 agp mod, i tried several different heatsink combo's but they all look too new and after market. I decided on 2 v3 3000 heatsinks with 2 vsa 100 fans each, under each heat sink is a peltier each hooked to the molex, im gonna do something simple for the ram to keep it looking like it could have been stock, anyways pretty much done with the v5 unless hank or bloodworm come up with a working ram mod ;)

WOW i started this mod back around May 8th, 2005 and im just getting closer to a finish. Really this mod came to a halt when i couldnt get a mod of any kind done to the v5 and really the whole case theme was built around the 5500R card, hopefully with others help i will be able to finish this mod the way i had it in mind. Ive been lucky enough to have a good friend who has a sign shop and have had the case painted black, shes not finished with the details on the case but i got a pic of the case door :)

Nice work so far! 8)

Good luck - it's ALWAYS awesome when you can sit back and say "I made this!"...then enjoy! ;)
