@ Gamma742
oh that one okay well the box does not look new see the damaged edges and so on, I just want to say the item does not look new, it would be sealed or unscratched if it looked new.
The seller does say it looks like new because he has the box but if you look at the condition of the box it doesn't look that great, sellers say that to sell nothing more.

@Lucidtomr

ask the seller for better pics of the box's condition and how the card is packed, because if it's packed in that plastic bag which it is lay'n on, a chance of buy'n a defect card is large because that ain't no Anti Static bag.

Actually the seller says:

"Brand New! in Retail Sealed Box!"

I doubt it though Cry

No worries. Someone else took it. I don't like to see anyone here get burned.

Good Luck Lucidtomr Wink

I formatted my pc that morning, setting aside enough time to get back on right before it ended, but I formatted the wrong partition, all my video editing and backup software was gone  Cry

So I then formatted my RAID 0 partition, making sure that was it... and I formatted my other Non SATA raid partition and made that Logical drive. I was done at about 12:30 New York time, about an hour after it ended. I then saw the little punk stole it from me.
.....

Sorry guys but I have 2 more questions.
1. I saw Voodoo 3 3500 select at 3dfxzone .it http://www.3dfxzone.it/news/puntatore.php?uid=247 If I got a European V3 3500 TV will that convert it to North America so I can watch and record TV on my PC?

2. I found another Voodoo 3 3500 tv. The guy emailed me today and said it's NTSC heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150015361223&sspagename=ADME:... but is that true? I did some reading and the 3500 TVsi appears to be European International Version. I need some of your guys help because I'm not as knowledgeable when it comes to 3dfx's

I saw a guy selling New v3 3500 TV but those were PAL, not NTSC... But if anyone has used that v3 3500 tv select, I might get a v3 3500 tv as a last resort. Reason why I want a v3 3500tv is because I'd like to use my older pc for Glide, Dos, and Win9x games, and be able to record, leaving my much faster pc for intense apps and HDR. My video card in my pc I'm using now is the ATI x800xt a-i-w, and I'm not sure what's gonna happen to the drivers ATI hosted, and recording video isn't as good as my ol ATI 8500dv a-i-w which recorded my custom settings I made, no corrupt/video deform.

Oh, and I managed to find some Visual Reality screen shots on Tom's hardware site I think. Looks like it's not as easy to navagate. They said you can't record no more than an hour and a half because it just gets too hot, but I've got no problem with that, most shows are half an hour or an hour long.

I ran across this thread in another forum Lips Sealed

http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/67909965/m/1860994311/inc/-1

I've read other places that NTSC is for US and Canada the the PAL card is Euro version... Donno Undecided

rather obvious Gamma it's been like that since the TV was born hehe PAL is for Europe and Autralasia and NTSC is for North and South America Wink

Thanx guys for the help. Gamma is gonna help me out, or I hope he does from his pm. Smiley  Cheesy

BTW one last thing, which I don't really care if anyone answers in 5 years, but the Voodoo 3 3500 has a faster core speed than the Voodoo 4 & 5. Is that like because of increased bandwith that the voodoo 4 & 5 are supposedly better /faster? Except for the Spectra 2000 3dfx prototype and the voodoo 5 6000 prototype which I saw on ebay, that run 200Mhz core speed. Example, the GeForce 7800 has a slower core speed (475Mhz) than my x800xt (500Mhz), but the bandwith for the GeForce is much faster.....

In anycase it's interesting how we all have a specific favorite 3dfx card, mine obviously being the vooodoo 3, preferable the 3500 tv which from what I read and what I like thats the best in my opinion.

Well the V5-5500 is faster since there is two chips to carry the load and overcome the bandwith limits of the ram.

I think the low clockspeed of the VSA-100 is related to the maturity of the chip making process & design and cost of SDRAM chips.

The Voodoo 3 chip had been refined a bit before the 3500 was released and even then there was complaints about the limited availability of 5.5 SDRAM.

3dfx could have released the 4500 at 183 mhz but this would have raised thier costs and they were already talking a beating on ram prices. When the 3500 was released they were in a better position and the 3500 wasn't as much a mainstream part like the 2000/3000.

even a Voodoo4 4500 @ 166 Mhz core/mem would defeat a V3 3500 in the most cases, since that the VSA-100 can also do 32Bit and  has 32Megs of ram and support to 64MB [per VSA-100]

the V4 4500 also has a larger fillrate than a V3 3500.

a V4 4500 does:
333 MegaPixel/sec

and a V3 3500 only does:
183 MegaPixel/sec

got that from Exxe's great page Smiley

See:

Check your specs-

3500
183 Megapixels per second
366 Megatexels per second

4500
166 megapixels per second
333 megatexels per second
