Over the last two days I just purchased my first two Factory Sealed boxes. I may not have gotten the best deal on them, but I got them and that makes me happy...
Voodoo 3 3000 PCI - $137.50 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160197668831&ssPageName=ADME:B:BCA:US:1123 Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP - $150.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360014647677&ssPageName=ADME:B:BOC:US:1123 Now my goal is to get a V4 4500 AGP, v2 1000, and V5 5500 PCI boxes and cards. It doesnt have to be factory sealed, but should be in good condition. If anyone out there can help me with that, or if anyone comes upon something like that, Please let me know :) roten |

When the "3Dfx Related eBay Auctions (2008 First Edition)" thread in the old forum is hotter that the one in the New Forum.. It begs to ask.. Can we lock the old forum to new posts. I'd hate to see anyone of our collectors miss out on the discussion going on over Hank's card on eBay. |

There is a L shaped 4500 on eBay. Having a hard time deciding if I want it. I'm on a tight budget, and it's already up to £38 ($73)
I'm not quite sure if it's worth it. Sure the L shaped cards are rarer, but....it's quite a bit. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230222044865&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=013 |

"My friend who has them has 4 cases of them and we were not sure if anybody would be interested. Yours should be going out in tomorrow's mail." So get em while their hot ! OK. So, the price for 2 cards is 10$ (Buy one and get a second one for free), plus 20$ for shipping the package to Romania. I could buy them both and pay myself and then I want just one card and I will let you have the second one for 15$ (when the package arrives here from US I will send you your item by Romanian Post). You will send me the money by a way that will both agree... Is that OK with you? |

OK then! I will take your word for it. I will buy the cards myself and as soon as I get the package I will send one card to your adress (please provide it by PM). Only then you will refund me with your half of the total price to keep the deal as clean and smooth as possible. It should be arround a cost of 40 RON for you including shipping - now that is a bargain for both of us! And, yes, I live in Romania. EDIT: It seems that I do not have enough money on my bank account today, and being Satturday my Bank closes at 12:30 and openes only as soon as monday morning. So we have 2 options: wait until monday so I can add some more funds to my bank account and if there are any more cards available we proceed as planed, or we do the deal the reversed way (that is: you buy the cards yourself and when you get them I pay my half of the cost and you send me one Obsidian). Both ways are fine by me and sorry for the inconvenience... |

This might not work out in my favor, someone else might snatch it up... but there is an item on eBay in the UK and the seller does not ship to the US. Would someone be willing to purchase it and ship it to me? I willy gladly pay you for the item, shipping, and extra for helping me out... if someone out there is willing to help me out on this one please let me know soon..

How the heck is it possible that this is the second Q3D I've missed.
Something is weird with my eBay search, it's searching worldwide, but has missed them on a number of occasions. Even now, when I type in the exact parameters in ebay.co.uk, the card doesn't show up. When I go to ebay.com, it's there. Weird. |
Title: Re: 3Dfx Related eBay Auctions (2008 First Edition Post by Eye-Q on 10.03.08 at 01:08:04 Tim wrote on 09.03.08 at 22:04:37:
Not weird at all. ;) Worldwide just means that not just items within your country are displayed but also items from other countries which include shipping to the "local country" (Germany for ebay.de or USA for ebay.com) in the options (not in the continuous text since that can't be interpreted), and this auction just states that shipping to the states and Canada is possible, worldwide is only stated in the continuous text. |
Title: Re: 3Dfx Related eBay Auctions (2008 First Edition Post by Tim on 10.03.08 at 01:58:22
Ofcourse ofcourse, I totally understand that now. That actually makes sense. ;) ;D
Is there anyway to bypass that on eBay? Like search literally everything. Stuff like this I hate to miss out on you know. Especially since it says will ship worldwide in the contents of the listing. btw, I can't believe how new that looks. For something that is 10 years old or so. Phew. Even my new mobo's box got scuffs. |

Well, it's as much worth as you are willing to pay. ;) In respect of rarity it's not that rare since last year very many of them popped up, I got three cards (one of them had the PCI-connector sawed off) and two powerboards for around 240$ including shipping - before that wave of auctions the cards were extremely expensive since there simply weren't ones in the market. Now that so many have been sold (I think about 40-50) they are fairly low priced, maybe they will go up again when none of them pop up for some time, but I don't think they will be as expensive as before that wave. |
Title: Re: 3Dfx Related eBay Auctions (2008 First Edition Post by Tim on 13.03.08 at 20:21:35
wow, cool, I wasn't collecting back then yet.
There was a board that was sold for over EUR 1000 on eBay couple of weeks ago, I think it was sold by exxe. So I guess there is still a market for it. As for me, it will go in the collection and stay there. Perhaps in 5 years they are as rare as it gets hehe. :) |

He has been going through some problems lately.. He may also be having an early mid life crisis. He also suffers from Borderline Syndrome, which simply put is when an individual is undecided about an action that needs to be taken. One day he wants to sell, the next decides he wants to keep.
I fully understand what he is going through and why he did/does what he did/does. Just like any other eBayer.. he can, and does, reserve the right to cancel an auction for any reason. |

"I selected the nicest one to send to you. I had eight to choose from. The plastic wrap is just about perfect. There are just a couple tiny marks on the box that will pretty much go un-noticed if you are displaying it on a shelf. I have is safely double boxed. I will send your UPS tracking number tomorrow." I receive the package tomorrow and will see how accurate is description was... hehe ;D UPDATE: Got the package today and wow.. he double boxed the 3dfx box. One really big boxes, then another box, and then the 3dfx box. It appears he is selling the "softer" cardboard boxes. [ like the v4 and v5's ] Either way, it was in pretty d*mn good condition :) |

Well, the MP520 isn't 3dfx-related at all - the MP540 which hasn't a 3dfx-chipset is able to be connected to a Voodoo Graphics-daughterboard.

I am Brendan, TM30 is 107489129... Brendan (9:51 AM):so whats up with the lunchbox? 107489129 (10:01 AM):he messed up. he wanted to cancel his bids... 107489129 (10:02 AM):now we are at 60 euros. please dont bid on it again. it would be very confusing. 107489129 (10:09 AM): or what do you think? Brendan (10:51 AM): should i bid now or wait until the end? Brendan (10:52 AM): because I would pay more than 60 Eur for it 107489129 (11:02 AM): excuse me, but this is sick. bid, withdraw, bid... really not good. 107489129 (11:03 AM): your fault was to withdraw your bid and now you should not bid again on it. thats really unfair to exxe Brendan (11:05 AM): its unfair to change his mind. my 90 stands. actually, my 80 should be the highest. 107489129 (11:06 AM): exxe would have paid 100 euros. but YOU DON'T. so do not bid on it again. Brendan (11:06 AM): I would have payed 90. thats what I bid. 107489129(11:06 AM): thats sicko.you did withdraw your bid and now you bid again.?!?!?!? Brendan (11:06 AM): after he bid higher... Brendan (11:07 AM): the current bid should be 91. because I WAS/AM willing to pay 90 for it it really is simple 107489129 (11:08 AM): no. bad luck for you. just THINK beforce you bid. and not start a bid war and then withdraw Brendan (11:08 AM): "107489129 (10:01 AM): he messed up. he wanted to cancel his bids...." i did not mess up. he did. 107489129 (11:08 AM): you too because you was first in canceling Brendan (11:09 AM): that does not make sense. 107489129 (11:09 AM): your bidding also doesnt... Brendan (11:09 AM): We both bid it up to 91. thats normal. but then when I say I wont go any higher... it drops to 60? 107489129 (11:10 AM): that is not your problem. its mine. Brendan (11:10 AM): so why can't my bid of 90 be legit? 107489129 (11:13 AM): its simply absurd. Brendan (11:13 AM): why? too much? 107489129 (11:13 AM): you had your chance and now its gone. 107489129(11:14 AM): next time better think first before withdrawing. Brendan (11:14 AM): there is a difference from withdrawing, and stopping bidding for the time being Brendan (11:15 AM): I clearly said in my message "getting too rich for my blood... hehe im out on the lunchbox " that means that I didnt bid higher, not that my bids are canceled. Brendan (11:16 AM): "im out" means I am leaving. It does not means my bids left with me. 107489129 (11:16 AM): okay so exxe has to pay 91 euro and all is fine. and you are outbid. break. Brendan (11:16 AM): I have a week to change my mind. I even told you that I might think about it more... 107489129 (11:18 AM): no. not after all that. Long story short, there was a bid battle between me and exxe. I had cut myself off and was no longer going to bid up at that time. That means the auction should have stayed at 91. But then I said "I'm out' as in I'm leaving, and the price dropped to 60, which I would gladly pay for the item. Just because I stopped bidding doesnt mean my bids went away... So TM30 is bass ackwards. I do not want to do business with someone of this nature anyways. |

Unforturnately I am not yet sure what items I will be selling at this time. All I do know is I will be setting the price just a little over what I payed for the items. I am not looking to make a huge profit on my items, but I do not want to lose money on them either. I will be selling off my boxed cards first, (in chronological order) and then the bare cards will come. IE: First will be MULTIPLE boxed cards [v2, v3, maybe v4, and v5,] I also have a boxed Intergraph Intense3D Voodoo that will make it's way onto eBay. (if not sold elsewhere) I also have multiple tested and working V2 SLI sets. (both 8mb and 12mb, with cables) There is also a sealed box of v2 "Bruce" chips that are looking for a new home. Other stuff will be sold as I feel needed :) |
