List of 3DNow! supporting games
03.07.14 at 15:36:48

Does anyone know where is a list of all games that support 3DNow!?
I am interested in games around the 3dfx era. I've searched but can not find anything clear. Since it is no longer supported by AMD they removed all the info from the official webpage. Sad
Apart from 3dfx, I am an AMD enthusiast too and want to get all the power from my K6s. Wink

Have you an official URL for 3DNow! webpage?
If yes, have you tried the wayback machine?

Well, in that page, in the availability column, do you know what that digits (Q200, Q399, Q499...) means? I don't understand it.

Do you think all that games are really optimized for 3DNow?

I have no doubt in games that need a especific patch, like Quake II, but I am not sure about others with integrated support like Quake III or Unreal in wich I can not choose to activate it or not manually.

So, what do you think is the game with better 3DNow! optimization? I've tested Quake II and I get arround +15 fps of improvement on my K6-2 450, quite good...

Q stands for quarter and is followed by 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending if the release date of the game; Q1 if it will be released in the first quarter of that year, Q2 the second quarter, Q3 the third quarter and Q4 if the last quarter of the year.
Last two digits stand precisely for the year in which the game will come out; '98 '99 '00.
So a game that has been released in the Q399 for example is a game that has been released in the third quarter (July-August-September) of the year 1999.
