I bought a new mobo off of ebay and it came with Serious Sam. It took awhile to setup the joystick
But other than that it seems to run well.
I dont really know much about it. Is it a fun game? Or should I pass? Thanks.

Yup, it's fun, but it's getting boring after a few levels...

It's dead fun!
Though it's a bit repetative, it is definetly worth playing through to the Endfights

It's a great game, multiplayer has co-op mode as well. Does get boring with having to kill anything that moves but the puzzles in the game make it worth it. Nothing like a platform rocking back and forth with mobs trying to kill you and large stone marbles trying to squish you all at the same time!

Painkiller does that too...but I loved that as well.

According to the manual you will need Amd Athlon 800mhz or Pentium III 800mhz, 256mb ram and some video cards I never heard of or a 3dfx voodoo 5

Yea. I played the game a little while. But it does get repetative. Its definately no Quake or Unreal.

Painkiller is much better, it's other "style", it's the closest game to Quake1 - very nice maps.

Serious Sam is kickass !! Enjoyed all three games so far ! Mutliplayer co-op on a lan is an absolute BLAST !
There's a new version available now called "Serious Sam High Definition" with updated gfx. Exxxxtreeeemely nice to see and play !! It runs on the Serious Engine 3, that powers the upcoming Serious Sam 3.
(Painkiller's awesome as well btw)
Only game in the genre that I didn't like was Will Rock. Necrovision is OK too, but not great.
