Title: DOSBox Internal 3Dfx emulation
Post by Quaker763 on 24.09.11 at 04:12:08
Hey guys,

For a while I've been following this: http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=25606

Its internal 3Dfx chip emulation! He doesnt have a binary build so download the latest build from: http://ykhwong.x-y.net/

He has a compiled version for you to use. This is pretty cool, and the only limitation is the lack of CD-ROM support for windows 98. You can get away with using daemon tools.

Heres a link for installin 98: http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=26973

Have fun with this, its pretty amazing! It's really cool for people that dont have the original Voodoo accelerator (Like myself, I have a V2) or for people who wanna play around with a V1 without screwing over a real one. For the programmers out there (mainly C++) it's a good chance to possibly edit the amount of memory for the voodoo. Just imagine a 32MB Voodoo 1  :D

Use the links ive given and you should be rolling in no time  ;D ;D

this looks really promising-I was hoping for something like this (a fully emulated voodoo1,not just a glide wrapper) for quite a long time. will try out as soon as time permits.

It seems that the thread has been dead for a couple of months now  :'( :'( :'( I pray that the developer is still making this. I'd love to see it released. That'll probably never happen though  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
