Title: DirectX 9.0a + Banshee Post by galah on 15.07.03 at 04:07:30
I have a Pentium Pro 200, 96MB EDO RAM and a Voodoo Banshee.
I just updated Windows 98SE with DirectX 9.0a. I then ran the DirectX Diagnostic tests and was BLOWN AWAY!!!! :o The DirectDraw test with the little square that bounces around was going like a pinball gone mad! The Direct3D test with the spinning cube with the directX logo on its sides was spinning around at 100MPH for both the DirectX 7, 8 and 9 tests. For a minute I though the Banshee was so advanced that 3dfx actually designed it to be a DirectX 9 based graphics card!!! ;D Its a pity it can't run games this fast. |

If you're an XP user, take a look at this:
www.bansheexp.cjb.net (I will release a Win98-Me version this week) ;D |

I have this effect on my Voodoo3 when D3D V-Sync is disabled in 3dfx-Tools. When the setting is at softwarecontrolled or on DXDIAG behaves normal.

Ah, that would be it. I had VSync disabled.
