It does not cause a permanent slowdown. You can feel when it manifests itself : the display hangs a second... and unlocks software after hard reset the timeout + Voodoo3. About 2-3 seconds blocking, I don't know exactly..."

"Lucky because it happens everywhere. OneVision had on Mediator 1200 + BlizzardPPC I think. And I had on Grex 1200. And when Bigfoot was bypassed in his own MorphOS driver, he understood that it was a universal problem that GPU... Bug fixed in the VSA-100 and Voodoo4 & 5"

Anyone here for more informations about this Avenger GPU bug ?

Thanks a lot !

Mods for the Voodoo 4500 AGP? http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1461491184 3dfx Archive/Tech Talk http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1461491184 you have to switch on second bank. check this forum, couple years ago guys explained it pretty detailed Strange Quantum3D devices in stock http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1461058182 3dfx Archive/Tech Talk http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1461058182 Great!
When you get it, pleeeeeease make an image of the enclosed diskette(s) and scan the manual(s)!
I've already got some tools and PDFs for that, but the main part - SDK, including drivers (exactly what the guy has on that diskette!) is completely missing. I'm already trying to get that from Q3D support, but that correspondence is ridiculous - they are trying to escape from me with their EOL arguments, but I'm firm as a rock

Yes, that was me Btw I was VERY surprised that nobody else bid on it! And yes, it includes the GCI-2 as well as the QuickSilver II sticker. The rest of the lot is junk for me. HP/Compaq Voodoo 3, which one? http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1459673010 3dfx Archive/Tech Talk http://www.falconfly.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1459673010 ok it's been to my attention that the special HP/Compaq model of the Voodoo 3 AGP is, in fact, a Voodoo 3 3500 converted to have a standard VGA connector, and without the TV module on it. But then it's detected as a Voodoo 3 3000 at 166Mhz, so my guess is it must be safe to clock it back at 183Mhz if it's really a 3500.

But now i wonder, which model(s) would it/they be?
