Incorrect Timeline?

Any ideas why the Voodoo and Rush cards have that timeline? Voodoo was announced Nov. 1995 wasn't it? Same with the Voodoo Rush, which was announced Aug. 1996?

I wonder what press releases they used?

Quote:
Please note that generally I have tried to make a distinction between the date that a chip was first announced and the date that a board based on that chip became widely available. Where possible I have used the actual press releases from the companies concerned.

What about the announce date though?

Quote:
November 6, 1995 - At COMDEX, 3dfx unveils Voodoo Graphics™, a 3D graphics accelerator specifically designed for 3D entertainment applications in the coin-operated/arcade and home consumer markets.

Was that taken from a press release?

Voodoo Graphics was FIRST intended for arcade machines only, that's when the world got to know it (1995).

After a few weeks/months, prices of ram dropped so it became cheap enough to introduce it to the pc market (1996).

Okay, I guess it is correct then. What about the Voodoo Rush though? That was announced all the way back in 1996, almost the same date the Voodoo Graphics was launched?
