Title: Voodoo3 3000 AGP - AGP slot requirements Post by LuxKiller65 on 15.06.05 at 18:49:56
I remember reading somewhere that the V3 3k AGP needed some old kind of AGP voltage to work. How do I check the voltage of my AGP slot? I have a mobo originally made for PIIs (slot 1) and an AGP PRO slot (if I remember right).
Thanks |

Not always...
All current Mainboards with AGP have bars which prevent old cards from being installed but the first Pentium 4-Boards with Intel-chipsets had universal AGP-slots although they only supported AGP4x/1.5 V. |

No, you need to look at your AGP slot and see if it looks like either A or C in the image Thandor posted.
If you have an Intel motherboard than you must be sure it's A. These are the only two AGP slots on which your V3 will work. :) |

just checked. It is an Intel mobo and the AGP connector looks like the "A". It is a PII-based mobo, will the V3 3k AGP work?
Thanks |

there are alot of tests been made, so that would figure out how hehe. ;D anyway it has been tested on 1.5V boards, and it didn't work the way it should do, the system hangen and so on. That is one of the main things it only works in 3.3volt boards.
