got the above card. Installed the rev 3 drivers found in the archive, under win98. But there is no q3d propertied tab under the display setting as it should be. Win98 is freshly installed so no conflicts. Any ideas?

Ok...here is what I found so far....the properties tab is depended by the q3dps.dll (ps stands for properties sheet). That thing is registered in systems registry and is supposed to be called via inprocserver32 = -path- . BUT....that even though it loads in memory it just wont display the tab. Even after trying to register it via revsr32 I got an error message that the DllUnregister (or register) Server entry point was not found....in other words its not a dll :S :x ..... Jesus what else? Anyone with that kind of extraterrestrial alien mutated experience?

I have noticed that with some SB50 boards- You have to remember some versions might not have been sold through Q3D (pre-Q3D '97) hence the reason they don't show up under Q3D properties.

I ve seen that before and I m gonna eat my guts if I dont see the tab at least in win95. Back in the old days I had an s3 vga and had some custom drivers with extra tabs under the display panel. When I upgraded to 98 the tabs were gone. No matter what (upgrade, clean install...anything) I never saw the tabs again in win98.....playing around years later I installed the card under win95 and there they were again. I ll try 95 (even though I cant keep the installation....dx 8.1 needed for the master card a gf4) and see.
