Thanks for the advice.

Okay, two more things.

1. Where is the amigamerlin3.0 file, I cant seem to find it on here.

2. When I load up a game, in this case Black & White, it starts to play the animated intro but then shuts the whole computer down, is this related to my Voodoo card? This has also happened with lots of other games; GTA3 to name but one. Can I fix this with a new driver? ???

I'm gutted, all this hassle coz I updated to XP. Cry

But am I limited to what I can play, as my Voodoo card is so old? I mean, can I play GTA3, or Medal of Honour? or any of the newer titles? Matt

Well, that really depends :

Voodoo3 used to have massive Problems with GTA3, only ran with the old 3dfx V1.03.00 Win9x Driver, and additionally, apparently only on intel CPU's in that combination.

The V3 is critical short on Video RAM (16MB), lacking AGP Texturing, lacking support for compressed (DXTC/S3TC) and large Textures (> 256x256 Pixels).

The Voodoo4/5 have a much better standing due to their 32MB (2x32MB for V5) Video RAM, integrated DXTC and large Texture (2048x2048 pixels) support.

I used to play MoHAA on the Voodoo5 without any big problems (only rare visual glitches).
