well anyways the V56K will run anything that is glide based, and if the program doesn't support quad chip SLI I can always use Single chip mode for really old aps Wink

But you aren't using the V5 6k, so that really doesn't matter   Wink Anyway, I found that Voodoo 5 5500 has difficulties to run older Glide games, ones that use Glide2x.dll... Voodoo2 is the way to go for these jewels.  8)

What drivers are u using? I tested the game with FastVoodoo 4.0 & Fastvoodoo 3.5 drivers.

I use a Voodoo Graphics Accelerator with reference drivers under Win 98 SE... I don't remember that the sixth chapter supports 3D card... Nothing about in the manual...

It seems that you are right. Everywhere I look on the internet is said that the MM6 is software-only. But it *does* run in glide enviroment on my computer. I can tell that by the refresh-rates that are configured in glide control panel, separately from radeon CC. Also if Voodoo2's are removed, the picture becomes crappy and almost without clear textures. The main screen is not clear any more and the graphic just isn't as it is with Voodoo. I could make some screensshots next week, with/without voodoo...that could give us some insight on the subject.

My favorite Games i played on Voodoos, from the v1 to the v5-6000, in no particular order:

1.) Unreal, Glide
2.) UT99, Glide
3.) Schleichfahrt (Archimedean Dynasty), patched for Glide
4.) I-War, patched for Glide
5.) GLQuake, OpenGL MCD
6.) Descent I & II, patched for Glide (didn't like D3 that much anymore, though I have all three retail)
8.) Extreme Assault, patched for Glide
9.) Diablo II LOD, Glide, which runs great using 6000's 8xFSAA.
10.) Need for Speed II Special Edition, Glide

True, but I find MM7 a bit more interesting and better. But there is one thing I hate in both games (which is "repaired" in MM8/9). That's blasters and "ancients". I hate that modern "ancient" stuff...  Angry

FS 2000 was great on the Voodoo5 6000 also Smiley fly's aB744 with that card was a great combination  a B744[ Boeinig 747-430] has 4 engines so does the Voodoo 5 6000  8)

@ 1024 x 768 x 16 in Glide with FSAA x4 and max settings for FS 2K the game ran like hell on the 6K under Win2K Pro + SP4 and AM 3.1 R11.

too bad I don't have FS 2K now would of been great for the 5500 PCI as well with FSAA x2 for same reso & settings.

Yay! Another NFS2SE fan. There are some awesome old classics. NFS2SE in 3dfx handles a lot better than in software. I just beat Deus Ex, and from the screen shots on my Voodoo 3 3000 agp, the game doesn't look any different than Direct X when using Glide/3dfx.

I bet if Glide was used for Wolfeinstein3D, that would be a killr app, which I played 16 years ago, and I have on my computer (dl'd XP compaible version). Nothing wrong with old games, they are pioneers. Plus, even thou I'm 26 Im still a sonic the hedgehog fan, always have since 1991 (thou that's not 3dfx).

Kuze - For the Citizens part, they don't even recognize the massive explotation inherited in the system. They absorb only the information that appeals to them that's easy to accept. Theirs is a phony society, I want to open their eyes to that fact.

8x too, on the 6000. Looks and runs very smooth, one of the few games, that have requirements low enough to use 8xFSAA on the 6000. Wink
