Hello all does anybody know what happened to Surrimugge's great album site :

The site seems to be down or not to exsist! Has the site been removed or is it being refreshed?

If anybody knows what's going on, it would be nice to know, got some more 3dfx pics in planning, to fill in that site.

yeah I got the same error also, I hope everything is all okay and that our art in photography won't be lost.

It maybe hav'n a Mid-Life update, I rather hope for that.  :-X

The server of our provider had a defekt filesystem.
I hope the site will be back as soon as possible.
At the moment, I can't do anything.  :(

oh well let's hope all will get back to normal soon :) anyways we'll just have to be patient so we will wait and see :)

They made every 24hours a backup. And the data isn't lost.
I heard from the provider, that they are reconfigurating the server now. I think tomorrow should the page back online.

Yeah, I know. And I can't login to the gallery.
I saw, that the space isn't 100% complete at the moment.
I miss there some files.

You can access the gallery and the pictures but you can't delete or upload new pictures.

I changed some folders to another chmod. It works, but not 100% perfectly. I need to change something tomorrow.
And I updated the gallery to the newest version.

@Eye-Q: Can you now upload and delete pictures?

hmm works great but different with Java this time :) though I still get that Attention error at the mainpage for the collectors site look:

Do you only see it on the mainpage when you're not logged in?
Or have the other uploaders this error too?

I uploaded some images with the java plugin but I hadn't trouble.

I don't get that error but I have two other issues:
- Some menus or only sub entries aren't translated into german, the menu of the picture actions is translated however.
- I upload files by form and get a misrepresentation of information when I picked the first file to be uploaded. For the second, third and so on file it's "normal".

hmm I had that too Eye-Q but I resolved it by installing the latest version of Java :)

I must say that the site was more user friendly in it's older state since not many people need to use Java as a must to upload things and thereby I can understand the inconvinience the people are go'n through.

But norries I got it working now after som'n lokk'n around hehe. 8)

If I have time this week, i'll change the site to a new provider this week, because the provider, where the site is now, close the door in April :(.
I let you know when I do it.

Ok, now i'm working on it to change the config of the gallery.
That could takes a few minutes if I have no problems.

Edit: Mmh it seems, that i need to backup the Gallery to version 2.
That needs a longer time to change things, cause the gallery have another path. "Gallery2" than "gallery"
I would change it to the normal URL.
until the new gallery 2 is configured, the old will be in funktion.

But, take a break to upload new pictures until the new gallery is ready.

Because the old gallery works on the old host and the new is on the new host.

I'm sorry for this changes but i think the new gallery would do a good service for us and you.

Now, I've a problem. I can't change the URL.
That means, that all linked files outside the gallery don't work.

But it seems, that the gallery v2 accept links for the old gallery. I'v tested it and it works.
I want to test it with other links and then I give you new information about the status.

BTW that Random Picture thing on the left side of the page is indeed kinda irritating, it messes up the main page you're looking at, there should be an option for members only to turn that on or off, because it isn't very pleasant imho.

I can deactivate it. That's no problem.
You can it too ;) --> "Album actions" "Edit Album" "Theme" "Blocks to show in the sidebar" "Image Block --> Remove"

I updated it with a backup, but the gallery still don't work with it.
The images are still there. That's not a problem. But i need to renew all gallery-maindata and try to repair the database.
Don't know how this could happen.
But I'll give my best to bring it back, but It needs time.

Sad to hear that, I hope you can fix that. Anyways, thanks for the info :)

Here is the situation at the moment:
I used a backup from August 11th 2007. That was the onliest that worked.
Now, the images, uploaded between August and November, are still in the albums-folder.
But without a line in the database, the gallery can't know, that they exist. It only knows the images until August.

If an user is lost, or some albums, please let me know that.
I'll see what I can do for you.
Sorry for that that bad news.

Edit: I saw, that the Album of SK1 isn't in the gallery. I try to fix it.

Damn, the gallery has problems and I haven't all the time at the moment. :(
Work the whole week to earn some money for school.

What I saw is, that only the albums of "m14radu", "surrimugge", "Tweakstone" & "Xion" have this kind of error.

I don't know. An Option is, that I delete the user and generate a new and import the pictures from the old folder. Mmmh, need to think about that or for an other solution...

I manage to browse albums of other members and such.

True, for the past few days I have had issues getting in.

And i thought it was because of China, where they block this website.
