Because I can't leave well enough alone I pulled my UK Pace 3d Edge Banshee card from the box tonight and tossed it in the test rig.

With the Pace drivers I just have PAL out, with a set of Guillemot Maxi Gamer Phoenix drivers (based on 3dfx reference) I can select PAL or NTSC from a drop down menu.

Works like a charm, so the difference is in drivers not hardware or bios it seems.
