Title: A-Corp Voodoo Banshee Post by ultima on 18.08.09 at 21:44:02
Hey guys,
I found within a box the abovementioned card, but most I could find were sdram cards, mine is sgram. There's nothing special about that, right?? |

The SGRAM is nothing special, A-Corp however is a bit special, I haven't seen many around.

A-Corp exists, you just won't find many cards from them.

A-Corp did make a few cards 3dfx powered.
Here is a Rush card I have found: http://ginx.sayit.ro/main.php?g2_itemId=73 http://ginx.sayit.ro/main.php?g2_itemId=75 And here is a pic of the Acorp Banshee only one I know: http://3dfx.cz/banshee/acorp_a392.jpg |

The Rush looks suspiciously like a Britek Viewtop-card, and the Banshee is just a card built after the reference design so I think A-Corp is just a reseller.
Nonetheless you see these cards not often, in fact I never saw one on ebay. |

Yes the Rush looks exactly the same as the Viewtop Rush except for the sticker with the logo. I'm guessing the Banshee also is a copy design from Britek or another. |

I'll post some pics of the card tonight.
It looks a bit like the Diamond banshee SGRAM, but it has a lot more chips onboard, other then ram that is. And it is the 1st Banshee I've seen with an AAVID fan, but that could come from another card, I dunno. |

That's funny - the card itself is a Sparkle card (the "SP3800" on the front side reveals that) and has a "Vulcan B" stamped in on the back side which is a name of a Britek Viewtop card.
The Sparkle cards aren't dime a dozen nowadays but they're not as rare as an MSI MS4427. |

so I asume there's nothing special about this card?!
anyone interested perhaps?? I also found an all-in-one card, has vga, tv, lan and video in/out. Windows detects it as hasing the same tv chip as Voodoo TV card, and it also has a HiNT chip onboard, strange looking card. Will post pics tommorrow, is from A5 Corp?? |

Looks different than the card shown on 3dfx.cz
I agree with Eye-Q that it's funny/strange that it has markings from two different manufacturers so might be Acorp or some other Asian reseller that sold it. Good luck |

Bit more info on the card, brand-wise;
Manufacturer; Sparkle Reseller; A-Corp (Vulcan B V-392) Card was sold in the Netherlands by Legato (which I think is a parts supplier for computers for companies like Dell/HP). The yellow sticker on the back says warrantyseal (garantiezegel). |
Title: Re: A-Corp Voodoo Banshee Post by ultima on 20.08.09 at 11:20:15
then I guess it is nothing special in itself, is it??
You interested in the card Nitrox?? |
Title: Re: A-Corp Voodoo Banshee Post by NitroX infinity on 20.08.09 at 11:34:05
I don't know if I'm interested to be honest.
It has Vulcan printed on the back but other than that it's just a standard sparkle. If it was still in it's original box, I'd have no problem wanting it. Without it, it's hard to decide. |
