Cool, Number Nine's are always interesting with their hidden messages. I should really make a database with all of the texts on different cards.

Cool card.  I like the jumpers on the board that are accessible from the back.  This card shows it's age with the silk screening of, "Assembled in U.S.A."    Shocked

It's an Matrox M3D (if I'm not mistaking) - made for Compaq.

I'm certain it's not that, that was the NEC PC 3DEngine. It's definitely different.

Hi Tim,
I don't have all the details about it but what i know the card is from the same generation of Videologic Graphics accelerators as PCX1. It was more expensive, scalable having separate ISP, TSP that were used in arcade machines and PCs .
"PowerVR has been adopted as the advanced 3D graphics accelerator by some of the world's leading PC suppliers, including Compaq Computers, the largest PC manufacturer worldwide, with the Presario 8000 range"
"NEC's ISP and TSP for arcade systems are fully scalable. Designers can boost systems performance using multiple ISP chips, multiple CPUs and/or higher performance CPUs.
The TSP and ISP are packaged in plastic 352-pin perimeter ball grid array “BGA” redirects here
NEC's single-chip PCX1 is slated for sampling in Q2 `96 and volume in Q3 `96.The devices are packaged in 208-pin, plastic quad flat packs (PQFPs). "
Here are some links explaining things in more detail:

I forgot I know somebody who works at Videologic/Imagination Tech.

Let me ask him if he knows anything about this card. Smiley
