Glide Game Must Haves

Hey folks, I just got done rebuilding my V6K rig with a fresh install of Win2k Pro and some updates and games.  I have installed the games in the screenshot below.  What are some of the other ones that I am missing that are almost required if you are playing with a 3dfx card?  I am also looking for some really good racing games, all suggestions are welcome. Smiley

Glide version of Carmageddon is awesome, after Quake1 is my favorite game. You simply cannot miss that game.

Another very nice game is Forsaken. It may not be the best game, it's a Descent clone, but it's very very optimized. The graphics on Voodoo Graphics card (4 mb) is excelent, even by today standards.

You can play Warcraft III using the /opengl parameter Smiley. It even runs on a Voodoo2! It's a 'new' game (relatively...) but interesting to see how older cards render it.

Have you try it on a V2 ? Because I remember that I couldn't run it, no matter what I've tried.

I've tested it long time ago with a Voodoo2 8MB SLI set and the .DLL of MesaFX V06109.

1024x768; all on high except for the textures. They are on low.

I'm not sure what the performance was like because it's years ago when I tested this Smiley.

From what I recall, I'76 not have native glide mode. The Gold Edition include the Direct3D patch. You have to force it to run in glide.

Performance shouln't be bad, I played War3 on Athlon XP 2000+ and V3 3000 and it wasn't bad at all in 1024, it was better that on a GF2 MX400 - believe it or not.

But now...when I play in 1680x1050, all maxed out - anything lower than 6800 Ultra or X850XT would be unplayable for me (I play semi-pro on bnet, clan member, tournaments Wink )

Whats is the girl name  Grin ?
For racing game I suggest you Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2, and Grand Prix Legend as must have.
Carmageddon 2 and Screamer Rally are not bad too.

I think it does have native glide support. When I ran it, you could choose from Glide, PowerVR, Rendition I seem to recall. No forcing.

X-wing vs TIE fighter, says on the box that it requires Directx 3.0 on the box and on the CD  Sad

Half-life has a 3dfx logo on the box  Smiley

Lol I just found a 3D Blaster voodoo 2 Manual in the box Cheesy (mint)
