Isn't it great when you feel you had lost something forever years ago, and then out of nowhere, you manage to find them again ... :)
I thought I would never get the chance to have the original V3 series wallpapers from the 3dfx site in Bitmap format ever again.
I remember back in 1999, downloading them and keeping hold of them. But not long after the 3dfx site closed down, I lost them from my storage and never thought I'd get them back.
I was rooting through the back of one of my cupboards the other day when I came across an old CD-RW that I used to keep backups of my favourite files. Not having the slightest idea if there was anything on it (I thought it would have been wiped) I loaded it in and there they were! The original 3 wallpapers in Bitmap format! :)
@R21vo - I don't know if they will be of any advantage to you, but if you would like them, let me know.
I prefer these to the JPEG conversions that people have made over the years from the originals as it gives me more flexibility over using them for new designs while keeping uncompressed quality that's all!
