I must say its rather shocking to see you sell everything so quickly.
Hopefully, you made a profit from all those sale compared to what you have purchased it for.

My tracking status for the package seems to be frozen, the only update made was in the night from 17.01 to 18.01, then nothing. Does DHL tracking service sucks so much ?

I don't get it, you mean "very fast" with sarcasm ? Because it's been 10 days since the package was sent and no sign, that's ok, TM30 said it takes 8-18 days, but what I can't understand is their tracking service. In 18.01 (during night) they begin tracking with "Departure from outward Office of Exchange in Country of Origin" and that was it. I expect a tracking service to provide some information about the location and to update from time to time that location.

Now I can only hope the package will arrive eventually, but still, DHL left me a bad impression, I expected a lot more from them.

hehe, indeed DHL Tracking is more like :

18Jan 18:23 Package received
19Jan 08:20 Package has left the Country
29Jan 16:40 Package has entered destination Country
02Feb 07:05 Package has arrived

For national postal traffic, DHL Tracking actually does not begin until the Package is almost delivered to destination, that's how slow it is.

It's more like a joke, only business Partners get the normal service. Private people get only that pseudo-tracking.

As a general guideline :
- DHL ships for 4x the price of plain vanilla US Priority Mail
- DHL ships at 1/5th the speed of US Priority Mail
- DHL does Air Mail at 10x the price of any other international Postal Service
- DHL offers at best 1/4th of the Services of any other international Postal Service
- they do optionally offer equal service, but using that costs in the range of 100$ alone.

The only good news is :
They're very reliable, haven't lost a single of many hundred Packages sent all over the world - they always arrive.

Ayway, my experience is very similar to FalconFly described, until now, that is... I just hope that the safety part will come true, that's all that counts after all.

Heh, well since the packages had 3dfx items in them..

My service with DHL might be different than FF's since he is in Germany and I am in the States. But then again maybe I was just lucky in the few times that DHL was used.

Never go Fed-ex ground, they are without a doubt the worst IMHO. No one has broken or lost items like they have.

i didn't sell anything... i still own all my prototypes and all my Quantum 3D cards. Togehter up to 30 cards. More then enough to remain a collector Wink

the price what i got for them alltogether was okay. but i don't know if i made profit... i never calculated it. but my feeling says me that it was + - 0

I already had a great bike, it will remain my hobby... i will not spend the money from the 3dfx cards for my bike.... i think i will save it.

Reply #28 - 29.01.08 at 18:39:48 I found out what's happening with DHL tracking, it seems the package has been sent with the Deutsche Post division of the DHL, they move slowly and the package was then gone to Romanian Post, now thats VERY slow. Well, the important thing is that is here now. Thanks TM30.
