Title: Ebay this morning 7-10-04
Post by gdonovan on 10.07.04 at 09:33:11
Well that was exciting, I would have bid more if my last expensive purchase wasn't so up in the air!

Chauk up another win for the 3dfx archive!

I had to set my alarm to 3:00 AM to catch this auction!

I was also waken up by Alarm clocks this morning due to the tough last week (better safe than sorry)...

Anyway, looks like Oskhar took his bet on a cheap buy of the Prototype, so I was lucky in that respect ;)

Have to shoot us the details of the card when you get it in Falconfly.

Well, that's life on EBay, unfortunately there isn't a way to divide single, unique Cards into 3 or 4 pieces to make everyone happy...

Don't worry though, I've been beaten by other Forum Members even on EBay Germany on occasion, and never had any hard feelings about it ;)

Of course, I'll pump out Images and all Numbers of the Card, once it arrives.

All of them have DVI connections :). It's just missing tje pod cable.

I'm pretty sure this was an early sample givin out for reviewers to review.

Let us know what you find FalconFly once you get it. ;)

Though we know perhaps what's "special" with this 3500 TV...  ;)

I'm not sure!  :-[ I don't understand what makes it unique from all of the others! Apart from it has a darker heatsink than the standard metallic silver ones!

And don't be so fooled into the 'Not for resale' stickers. It is very easy to produce these stickers and just slap them on the card, and if the seller knows his stuff (meaning he knows he can generate more money if this card "looks" to be a prototype by sticking 'Not for resale' stickers all over it) it's a crafty way to make a lot of money off 3dfx collectors.  Also, why would there be at least 3 'Not for resale' stickers all stuck within 3 sq. cm of each other, on the card? Looks a bit dubious to me!::)

However, I hope you prove me wrong FalconFly. ;)

The BIOS Sticker was what gave the final indication.

The seller made High-Res Scans of the Card's both sides, and I could see "Voodoo3 3500 1.0" ;)

(same sticker as on my Prototype without Tuner, indicating it is not a Retail Card, but produced for internal Testing)

Okidok, Card arrived together with a nice 3dfx T-Shirt today :)

I wonder what the 2nd TV Connector is good for, my Retail Voodoo3 3500/TV has only one.

Oh, I never noted that subtile difference.
Just checked my Retail NTSC V3-3500/TV, and you're absolutely right :)

Seems a TV-FM Version as well then, that explains the 2nd Connector.
