Title: Maxi Gamer TMU's and FBI's
Post by janskjaer on 26.01.05 at 16:07:39
I have 2 Maxi Gamer 3D's here, both with different TMU's and FBI's. The memory is also different for the two.  One model is labelled '9748', and the other being '9809'.  I am guessing the former being the oldest card.

Maxi Gamer 3D #9748
F801261.1  TMU
9745 20005

BF16891.1  FBI
9746 20001

Memory:  ALLIANCE

Maxi Gamer 3D #9809
F804941.1  TMU
9802 20005

f00428.1  FBI
9811 20005

Memory:  tm

I know there is no performance difference between the two, but which would you have personally?

Would the ALLIANCE memory laced card be a better choice, as it's older than the later model?

Allo M8! ;D

I know - long time no post (I've been AWOL modding consoles...) 8)

Hmm...tricky - if there's no performance diffecence, then you're prolly correct. :P

Of course, if both card have no compatibility difference either - then it dun' really matter! ::)

Alright Paul mate!  ;D Yeah, busy busy and all that with uni! What with my dissertation and everything!

Just wanted to know which was the best to keep really.  I think may get the older card with the Alliance memory chips as I guess Alliance are just more of a well known brand. And as its a (slightly) older card ('97 model) theres more 3D nostalgia there!  ;D

Cheers mate!
