here's the card what it's all about:
http://www.3dfx.ch/gallery/d/15614-2/VMAC+5500+Box+top+with+card+_amp_+eyes.JPG

the normal way to flash it would be via dos mode under win98SE or under DOS with the 3dfx flash utillity right :)

with the VMAC 5500 Prototype the flash worked out fine by using the following:

flash.exe pci_dvi.bin [enter]

then follow the screen as it proceeds.

did the same with this production card but then I get this as the following message:

There is no build information for the sellected hardware

so I used the PCI.exe program and I could read the 121h line with [Unassigned] behind it as well, but what that means, I don't know of, only if that the card is defect or it isn't ?

The card is a Rev.A1 3100 and what must i do now :-/ try another bios if there is another PC bios for this card?

Cheers,

Obi-Wan Kenobi.

well got some good news everyone :)

The card is in perfect condition and it's working with Bios 1.18DVI So I found out that the Rev.A1 2900's need PC Bios 1.11DVI to opperate perfectly and the Rev.A1 3100's need PC Bios 1.18DVI to opperate perfectly :)

mayby that was the change between those 2 Rev's :)
It's 02:39 now and I finally completed the VMAC 5500 Flashing missions the Rev.A1 2900 Prototype with PC Bios 1.11 DVI and the Rev.A1 3100 with PC Bios 1.18DVI both work perfectly!
anyways what driver would you reccomend under 98SE ? just driver no control panel, it's that I ask this because the VMAC 5500 is my VGA2, or is Win2K/XP needed for this feature only?

@ Gary

I thank you for the extra help hehe :)
