Quote:I doubt that this is done via 3dfx t-buffer.the game probably uses some other method of doing motion blur (so more cards are able to render it)..
I don't think so ...
If I start the MotoGP2 game with a Voodoo 3 insteed of Voodoo 4, the option I select in the game's launcher menu to make use of the Motion Blur just isn't there anymore, and in-game I have no Temporal Anti-Aliasing when playing with Voodoo 3.
The key for TAA in the launcher is:
Quote:Full screen special effects
... and the deffinition from the readme:
Quote:Antialiasing - as well as conventional fullscreen antialiasing, MotoGP supports a full screen special effects mode that enables motion blur, accurate reflections of the environment during rainy days, and on pixel shader hardware, refractive raindrops on the camera lens. Use of this mode is highly recommended if your card is powerful enough to support it, but you may find it is too slow especially if you are running in a high resolution.
So I think it is obvious that the game engine detects the Voodoo 4 as TAA capable, otherwise if implemented not by T-Buffer the Voodoo 3 should have been also suitable.
Long story - short, what I see in game and you all in screenshot is Motion Blur on a Voodoo 4, and I'm enjoying very much to play with it!
